About Speech Pathology

Let’s Connect Speech and Language Pathology (LCSLP) is a small and personal mobile speech pathology practice seeing families in the inner west and lower north shore community. Like you, we want your child to be able to communicate with others to be their biggest and best!  Speech therapy may include helping them develop skills they need to express their thoughts and ideas, form friendships, learn, and grow to their full potential. When providing speech therapy, we work closely with you to help your child develop their communication skills and achieve the best possible outcome.

We provide services to children aged 18months -12 years see Services for more information about who we can help.

We believe every child is unique with their own strengths.  Our goal is to make therapy individualised, fun, engaging and relevant.  At the same time we provide therapy that is supported by evidence to give the best possible outcomes for your child.  We always consider your goals and your child’s strengths and interests to maintain a holistic service.

Caroline Carmody, Speech Pathologist.  I established Let’s Connect Speech and Language Pathology in 2016.  Before that I worked in several private practices around Sydney. It is my mission to provide a holistic, caring and family centred service to every client.  Therefore, working with you is just as important to me as working with your child.   Further, as a mother of three, I fully appreciate the challenges of parenting, working and balancing life! Additional challenges may arise when your child has a disability, learning or communication difficulty. To support you, we work as a team.   Collaboration with other professionals vital to your child’s wellbeing and development is of utmost importance.

I have a special interest in early intervention.  As a result, I love working with parents to provide naturalistic intervention.  This means coaching parents to promote language in every day situations. The Hanen program It Takes Two to Talk is a parent program with strong evidence. Hanen is suitable for many families.  See http://www.hanen.org/ for more information.  Additionally, I regularly see children who have speech, language, stuttering or literacy difficulties.
